About Big River Animal Society

Our Mission

The overall mission of Big River Animal Society is to save the lives of homeless animals, particularly those forsaken, abused and broken in body and spirit by offering immediate shelter, compassionate care and rehabilitation in a safe environment.

Our Pledge

We pledge to reduce the number of animals killed each year in shelters by providing wellness and rehabilitation, owner retention support, promoting responsible spay/neuter and offering educational opportunities throughout our community.

Our Purpose

The creation of a safe haven or sanctuary in a rural, natural environment to provide temporary or permanent refuge and healing to animals in need.
